About Us & MBS Retreats
About Mind Body Spirit Retreats
“Welcome to Mind Body Spirit (MBS) Retreats, a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals to come together in a supportive and inspiring environment. Our retreats offer a platform to discover new techniques, share experiences, and gain fresh perspectives through professional development training and workshops.
The idea behind Mind Body Spirit Retreats was born out of a passion for travel and a realization that each journey revitalized both personal well-being and professional work. Combining the transformative effects of travel with the rejuvenating impact of conferences and workshops led to the creation of MBS Retreats. We take care of the logistics, allowing clinicians to focus on sharing their knowledge and experiences.
Join us at Mind Body Spirit Retreats and become part of a transformative journey where learning and travel converge, creating unforgettable experiences! Book your spot now and immerse yourself in a world where personal and professional growth flourish.”
Meet Cheryl
I have been a social worker since 2000, starting my career in community mental health. Alongside my work there, I also started working for a private practice. As I moved between different cities and even states, I realized that the challenges were the same everywhere—overwork, frustration with productivity goals, and political issues. That’s when I decided to establish my own private practice.
Now, I am the owner of New Outlook Counseling Center, a group practice in Indiana. I also own Mind Body Spirit retreats (MBS), a company that provides training and professional development opportunities for therapists and healthcare professionals. With my extensive knowledge and experience in mental health, I am well-equipped to help professionals advance their skills and improve their practice.
As a licensed clinical social worker, trained in EMDR and DBT, and certified as a registered play therapist, I deeply understand the needs and challenges faced by children, adolescents, adults, and families. In my group practice, we focus on providing evidence-based interventions like play therapy, EMDR, DBT, and more, to help clients overcome emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.
